Walter Schrank
Walter Schrank is a native Texan and prolific, abstract painter who moved to New York City in 1997 by way of the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore where he studied with legendary artist, Salvatore Scarpitta.
He is also the author of two books of poetry, Small Barbarisms (2015) and Battle Cries of Every Size. (2020)
He and his wife Joanna, also a painter and printmaker, reside in Brooklyn with a garden and numerous cats.
