Walter Schrank is a native Texan, painter, poet working in New York.
He is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art studying with Salvatore Scarpitta and Archie Rand.
Walter lives in Brooklyn with his wife, the printmaker Joanna Karatzas.
He has published four books of poetry: Small Barbarisms (2015) Battle Cries of Every Size (2020) Beneath the Astral Streak (2023) Hogwash and Hemoglobin (2025)
He has exhibited with ABNY Gallery since 2021.
